Leg 4

8 miles - Most Difficult

This leg travels the Dog Valley and Henness Pass Roads to the start of the paved Stampede Dam/Meadows Road.

a..	Run on Bridge Street.
b..	Turn right on Dog Valley Road and proceed up the hill.
c..	Pass by the entry signs to the Toiyabe National Forest and continue up the road (it becomes a dirt road here).
d..	At the top of the hill turn left (there will be an aid station here).
e..	Proceed on the road and stop at the exchange point at the intersection of Henness Pass Road and the paved Stampede Dam-Meadows Road.

Vans: Return to Old U.S. 40. Turn right on that road and drive past the Gold Ranch and enter I-80 westbound. Drive 13 miles on I-80 and exit at the Hirschdale Road exit (exit no. 194). Turn left and drive on the Stampede Dam-Meadows Road past Boca and Stampede Reservoirs to the exchange point and wait for the runner to arrive.
